Watersheds Rising:

People, Purpose, and Power

"Watersheds Rising: People, Purpose, and Power." is a call to recognize the people and communities shaping the future of Metro Atlanta’s waterways. As our region faces climate pressures, development, flooding, water quality challenges, and environmental inequities, watershed protection requires more than technical solutions—it requires collective action.

Meet the Leaders Turning Watershed Challenges into Collective Action

The 5th Annual Metro Atlanta Urban Waters Symposium brings together two powerful voices whose work reflects the spirit of Watersheds Rising: People. Purpose. Power. Dr. Rachel Scarlett and Ayanna Jolivet McCloud bring distinct perspectives on environmental leadership, community resilience, and the power of collective action. Together, their insights will challenge us to think boldly about the future of Metro Atlanta’s watersheds—and the people and partnerships needed to shape it.
