West Atlanta Watershed Alliance is proud to facilitate our 16th Annual MLK Day of Service. We welcome you to join us in performing actions to maintain stewardship, history, and beautification, as a “ Beloved Community”.

Celebrating 50 Years!
The Outdoor Activity Center is the headquarters for West Atlanta Watershed Alliance, and 26 acre old growth forest. Join us as we remove invasive species, beautify trails and more to keep this forest thriving.

FAQ
1 / I registered for one shift, but I would like to stay the entire day. Is this possible?
Yes! Don't forget to sign in & out, especially if you need credit for the actual hours spent volunteering.
2 / Public parking? Will my car be okay?
Street parking is available at all locations, most of which will be close to the site. Please advise that volunteers should hide or remove items of value and lock their doors.
3 / Are there restrooms?
At the OAC, look for the big green door on the side of the building near the accessible ramp. There are no restrooms at the off-site locations.
4 / Will refreshments be provided?
Light snacks, water, and (warm beverages, at the OAC sites only) will be first come, first serve. We will advise volunteers to bring their own reusable bottles/cups pre-filled, and they are welcome to bring their own snacks.
5 / Will I know where to go and who my lead is?
Yes, each registration has its direct address for the location. Communications go out the preceding Thursday announcing the location, Lead, and task for the experience.
6 / I have already registered, but I have family members/friends who would like to join. Can they come?
Yes, however, our MLK Day experience registrations are at capacity. With the history of the day, we welcome families and friends to come and serve with us. If service hours/tasks need to be verified, the participant must be registered, and have completed our virtual liability waiver. (https://bit.ly/WAWAWaiver)
